William Jarvis made his coin in tellcommunications, only to buy 25 acres on Atlas Peak.  I’ve talked about my affection for Atlas Peak before, but it remains one of the sweet spots to visit in Napa to this day, if you want to experience what the 60’s must have felt like on the valley floor.  No crowds, but world class wine.

At under 10,000 cases Jarvis carries a name for itself, perhaps not commiserate with production level, but the Atlas Peak address gives them the chance to produce some of the most ageworthy wines from a region that is increasingly being known for them.

Want to see what it’s like to grow up in Napa? A science project that is focused on half bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blended together!

Jarvis is a nice fit for our wine of the month club, it’s a high quality wine and we happen to love Atlas Peak from Vinroc to Dos Lagos Vineyards.
