A partnership born between the Tattinger family of Champagne and an American wine distributor. Domaine Carneros is pretty easy to understand, the winery was built on the back of three different sparkling wines (let’s be clear, you cannot call it Champagne if it is made anywhere outside of the Champagne region of France).

More recently Domaine Carneros has branched out and now produces a wide range of Pinot Noir’s, themselves highly scored wines that attract attention for their quality.

Having been to the estate a few times myself, one thing I can say without question, there is a wide range of interesting wines being made here. Domaine Carneros fits well into our gift basket program, although less so our 90 point wine clubs simply because Domaine Carneros is both well know and their sparkling wines (my favorite part of the project) are too expensive for our Explorations Wine Club.
