Purchased in 2005 by Peter and Vicky Chow, Howell Mountain Vineyard has been around since 1988, focused largely on those mountain standouts of Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon.

There’s only 5,000 cases produced these days, largely focused on Black Sears Zinfandel (a wine that I’ve had the opportunity to taste at least three times at different events and each time, it’s come onto my list for future purchases for my wine of the month club).

Hiring a new winemaker and the focus on creating a lasting and memorable project on Howell Mountain (to this point I do not believe that any project has quite captured the average wine drinkers attention on Howell Mountain) is worth our collective attention.
