In our experience a winemaker is more likely to bring out the most interesting and surprising wines in person, rather than simply offering what they're trying to sell to anyone over the phone or Internet. I like that I don't receive a wine from the same winery very often if ever....plus since my husband doesn't like white wine, being red wine only is great."

"My wife and I wanted to join a wine club to learn more about wine, but also to have some great wine to share with family and friends. We knew we tend to finish bottles we find rated at 90 points or above, but don't really like bad wine. It was hard to find a wine club offering quality that high at our price point, until we read some reviews of the Exploration Wine Club. We heard it was the top wine club under $50 and we've honestly been thrilled with both the customer service, but more importantly the wine. We've been members for 6 months and haven't received a bad bottle yet. We've also learned enough and know enough about wine to know want to visit wine country on our next vacation."

"The Special Selections wine club lives up to the hype. A friend of mine turned me onto Uncorked Ventures last year as he knows I like great wine. I was a bit skeptical on how good the wines would truly be, but I have to say I have been really impressed. I still buy wine at my local wine store as I drink more than 2 bottles a month, but I appreciate being introduced to some new great wines."

"I received a 3 month wine club membership for Christmas. The first shipment arrived just before the holidays which was perfect as the initial club shipment included a bottle of bubbly. I opened the bubbly on New Years eve with my wife and another couple. We loved it! Looking forward to my next 2 shipments. Maybe I will sign myself up after my gift shipments end."

"It's fun, at any price point to receive a couple of different wines every month. Our cellar was full of the normal selections like Schrader and Screaming Eagle, we wanted some more variety. We've enjoyed being introduced to some lesser known names, especially those from Oregon and Washington State."

"I didn't know how much I was going to like being part of a monthly wine club. My husband and I knew we'd drink the wine, but weren't sure about signing for shipments or being able to tell the difference in wine tastes etc. We've been pleased with the monthly newsletters and being handed a wine list, or talking to a Sommelier is a bit less intimidating now."

"It's funny to be writing a review of a wine club I've been a member of for about 6 months, with only opening two of the wines thus far. The rest of them are in my personal cellar but we opened the Pas de Nom Oregon Pinot. We just can't find 95 point Pinot's from small Oregon producers here in New York."
