Willow Creek AVA

With no current wineries, the Willow Creek AVA is one of the least active in the extreme northern reaches of California. Set in Humboldt County, better known for growing other crops it is centered around the Six Rivers National Forest and has only 10 acres of land actually planted with grapes.

It is interesting to note that these far northern AVA’s are all so inactive given the success of the Oregon AVA’s only a few short miles further north.
