The California Central Coast is one of the most diverse and exciting regions for wine in the world today. Santa Barbara County is well known for producing world class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in cool climate vineyards like the Santa Lucia Highlands.

Santa Barbara County Areas:

Los Olivos Wineries: A small town of about 2,000 full time residents Los Olivos currently hosts approximately 30 tasting rooms in their small downtown which includes small restaurants and art galleries, although the focus is clearly on wine. The tasting rooms here offer a nice combination of small family owned producers (some making less then 1,000 cases of wine) and larger wineries making around 10,000 cases per year. The wineries also make a range of wines, some with grapes from cool weather Santa Barbara and others with warmer weather grapes from next door Ballard Canyon or Paso Robles. Perfect for a 1 day tasting trip. Uncorked Ventures Guide Available.
