Do you Tango? Malbec is a native varietal to Bordeaux, but the grape has been out of style in France for generations. Luckily for Malbec lovers everywhere the grape has found a permanent home in Argentina.
When grown well it shows deep gripping, tannic almost chewy structure. No one can say for sure why the grape grows to such quality in Argentina while it seems to struggle in Bordeaux. The resulting wine is often paired with Cabernet Sauvignon and can offer incredible value at under $10 and truly age worthy delights from $20 and up.
