During the holiday season new orders are shipped within 48 hours and typically within 24 hours, if not the same day. We hate waiting for stuff we order as much as you do. During the normal year shipments tend to go out 2-3 times per week. Please note, there are weather delays at times throughout the year. Freezing temperatures are not good for wine, nor is 100 degree heat. We reserve the right to ship at times of the month which give us the best chances to get you your wine in the best shape possible, even if that means delaying for a week or two at times.
Please use our checkout process for a current list of permissable states. We had tried to provide a list here, but the constantly changing wine laws in regard to shipping made it difficult to keep a current list. We ship to approximately 40 states.
A person at least 21 years of age must be present to sign for wine shipments.
UPS, GSO and FedEx cannot leave wine without this signature. We strongly urge our customers to ship to a business address for this reason. We cannot ship wine to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. Wine Club membership shipments (both personal and gift) ares shipped typically the third Monday of the month.
Wine is sold in the state of California and ownership is transferred to the buyer in California. Those purchasing wine from Uncorked Ventures are solely responsible for shipment of their wine. By placing an order, you authorize Uncorked Ventures to act on your behalf to engage a shipping company to deliver your order to you or your designate. Uncorked Ventures make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside of California.
Note: Multiple attempts will be made to delivery each shipment. If a delivery company is unsuccessful in making a delivery based on a customer not being available to receive a package, incorrect shipping information provided to Uncorked Ventures, or any other reason except an error by the shipping company or Uncorked Ventures, an additional shipping charge will apply.
As an example: If you send a gift package and your wine cannot be delivered because of vacation or any other reason-we will gladly reship your wine to your intended receiptient, or to you directly. An additional charge will also be incurred if an incorrect zip code is provided and wine is returned based on that incorrect zip code.
If for some reason we have made an error in shipping your wine, we will have wine shipped to the correct address free of charge.
