Welcome back to Bordeaux. This is one of those grapes that is all right bank. Largely used for blending purposes in other red wines made in the region, it is rare that a Cabernet Franc would be bottled on its own.
Winemakers in both France and elsewhere will include a small percentage of Cab Franc in their blends because the wine can impart violet and spice aromas. It is one of the red wine grapes which impart the largest amount of aromatic qualities to a wine and that causes a small amount of it to be added to a large percentage of red wines in both Bordeaux and Napa.
